Twitterfall can be a great tool to monitor your event. Maybe there are many things going on at one time and parts of your event that you can not attend. Maybe you have an event that is happening in another part of the world and you are not able to make the trip. Twitterfall is free and takes about 30 seconds to set up. Here is what you do:
1. Create a hashtag for your event. If you do not know what a hashtag is click here
2. Promote the hashtag to your event participants through social media and on your website.
3. Go to http://twitterfall.com/. On the left hand side of the screen under Searches add your hashtag. For example, #ECMA2011. Then select your twitterfall settings on the right hand side of the screen.
Now you can sit back and watch what everyone is saying about your event in the days leading up to, during and afterwords. You can also respond to issues, communicate with event attendees and even ask questions in real time.
